This Privacy Policy describes how ALMED Equipments (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the ALMED AHU mobile applications (iOS and Android) and the related web dashboard for hospital Air Handling Unit (AHU) monitoring and control.
What the service does
ALMED AHU is a companion app and web dashboard that lets authorized hospital staff and administrators monitor AHU telemetry, view device status and logs, receive alerts, and send operational commands through our API. Access is provided only to approved accounts.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, username, phone number (if provided at registration), hospital name, and a password that is stored in hashed form on our servers—we do not store passwords in plain text.
- Authentication: sign-in via Firebase Authentication, including email/password and optional Google Sign-In. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive profile information from Google (such as name and email) according to your Google account settings.
- Device information: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens so we can send operational alerts and service notifications to your device.
- Operational data: AHU telemetry, device status, event logs, and commands you send through the app or dashboard, as required to operate the service.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ALMED AHU service;
- Authenticate users and manage hospital and admin accounts;
- Deliver push notifications and critical alerts;
- Process admin approval of new users where applicable;
- Respond to support requests and protect the security of our systems.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the service with trusted service providers such as Google Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, messaging, and hosting infrastructure), and when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Legal basis and purpose limitation
We process personal data for legitimate service operations, contractual service delivery with hospitals, security monitoring, and compliance with applicable legal obligations. We use data only for stated operational and support purposes, and we do not use healthcare operations data for unrelated advertising.
Data retention
We retain account and operational data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, legal compliance, and dispute resolution, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Access controls and confidentiality
Access to account and system data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. Personnel handling sensitive operational information are expected to follow confidentiality obligations and internal access-control procedures.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Incident response
If we become aware of a data security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, take containment and remediation steps, and provide notifications as required by applicable law and contractual obligations.

Third-party services
ALMED AHU relies on third-party infrastructure providers such as Firebase/Google for authentication, cloud messaging, and related cloud functions. Their processing of your data is governed by their own privacy and security terms.
Children
ALMED AHU is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International processing
Your information may be processed on servers located in regions used by our hosting and cloud providers. By using the service, you understand that data may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of ALMED AHU after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
